Ceramic materials allow bearings to operate at higher speeds, harsher environments and less lubrication, and can reduce wear, reduce noise, reduce vibration, and make maintenance easier. The purpose of using ceramic materials to replace metal materials such as steel as rolling elements is to use the former's better wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, electrical insulation, non-magnetic conductivity, high strength, high stiffness, and small specific gravity than the latter.
Hybrid ceramic bearings have a longer service life than stainless steel bearings, and in multi-water conditions, the service life of hybrid ceramic bearings can be more than 5 times longer than that of stainless steel bearings. It can operate stably at 200°C. The material itself has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and self-lubrication, and will not expand due to temperature difference in a high temperature environment.
Due to the unique oil-free self-lubricating properties of ceramic materials, it can overcome the problem that ordinary bearings cannot achieve lubrication in an ultra-high vacuum environment.
