Introduction to the concept and application of high temperature bearings

High-temperature bearings are widely used in high-temperature operating machinery such as metallurgy, furnaces, glass, blast furnaces, and coating equipment. There are a variety of high-temperature bearings to choose from. Different types of bearings can be installed according to different needs and environments. High-temperature bearings can be divided into Common structure high temperature bearings and special structure high temperature bearings.

The models of high temperature resistant bearings and ordinary bearings are different and can be divided into two situations, as detailed below.

First, the bearing parts are made of bearing steel and are tempered at high temperatures. According to the JB/T2974 standard, bearing parts have been subjected to high-temperature tempering treatment, the working temperature reaches 150 C°, and the code is /S0; parts have been subjected to high-temperature quenching and tempering treatment, the working temperature can reach 200°C, and the code is set to S1; parts have been subjected to low-temperature tempering After tempering treatment, the working temperature can reach 250°C, and the code is set to /S2; after high-temperature tempering treatment, the working temperature can reach 300°C, and the setting code is /S3; after high-temperature tempering treatment, the working temperature can reach 350°C, its code is /S4.

Second, the bearing components are made of heat-resistant steel. The suffix still complies with the JB/T2974 standard. The material is Cr4Mo4V, code: /HN; the material is Cr14Mo4, code: /HN1; the material is Cr 15Mo4V, code: /HN2; the material is W18Cr4V, the suffix code: /HN3.

Heat-resistant bearing steel, also known as high-temperature bearing steel, has sufficient high-temperature hardness, high-temperature wear resistance, high-temperature fatigue strength, oxidation resistance and high-temperature dimensional stability. Currently, there are three main types of high-temperature bearing steel in use. One is Cr4Mo4V (M50) steel. This steel is a heat-resistant bearing steel with excellent performance. It has high hardness and high temperature fatigue life. It is mainly used in aerospace engines. It can work at 315°C for a long time and can be used in short periods of time. Temperatures up to 430°C are used within the time limit. The second is Cr15Mo4 steel, which has high hardness and corrosion resistance in the range of 260-280°C and can be used to manufacture corrosion-resistant bearings that operate below 480°C, such as jet engines and missiles. The third is 12Cr2Ni3Mo5 (M315) steel, which is a widely used high-temperature carburized bearing steel. It is suitable for operating temperatures below 430°C and can be used to manufacture high-temperature bearings with complex shapes and impact resistance.
